Business listings, ratings, and review counts on RatingsNearMe are sourced from publicly available Google Business Profile data. This data is updated regularly to reflect current ratings and review volumes.
In addition to imported Google data, consumers can submit written reviews directly on RatingsNearMe. These community reviews are displayed alongside the aggregate rating and labeled accordingly — so you always know the source.
We do not accept payment to alter a business's star rating or review count. The only paid product we offer is enhanced visibility in clearly labeled sponsored slots — and even sponsored businesses must earn their ranking through genuine customer reviews.
Our ranking algorithm is transparent and non-negotiable — businesses cannot pay to inflate their star rating. Rankings are computed using a weighted score:

All business information is reviewed for accuracy before publication. We remove listings that are permanently closed, duplicate entries, or that appear fraudulent. Business owners can claim their listing to correct inaccuracies, respond to reviews, and update contact information at any time.
Community reviews submitted directly on RatingsNearMe are moderated. We remove reviews that appear to be fake, retaliatory, or submitted by competitors. Our moderation policy is described in our Terms of Service.
